About Us...

Thats us above! My name is Sophie and I live with my husband, Josh. We have 2 dogs who are our furry babies - Frank the pug and Lucas the German Shepherd. I have an illness - Cystic Fibrosis - which is a genetic condition that you are born with which causes the body to produce thick mucus, which mainly affects the lungs and digestive system. To find out more about CF, please follow the link:  https://www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk/

In 2011, my lungs were damaged beyond repair, so after many tests and talks, I was put on the transplant list. After 2 months of being kept alive in Harefield Hospital, I received the news that lungs had become available that were a perfect match and I had a double lung transplant on 20 August 2011. After having to learn to walk and talk again, I was able to start to rebuild my life. I turned 30 in July 2019 and we wanted to start thinking about the process of making a baby. The first blog post will give you the information as to why we have chosen to start the process of surrogacy.....
